Dr Emmeline Hill to present at 8th International Conference on Equine Exercise Physiology in South Africa
Dr Emmeline Hill will be presenting the findings of three new research papers at the 8th International Conference on Equine Exercise Physiology, which will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from 7th - 12th November 2010.
Dr Hill will be discussing three papers entitled:
- 'Association of sequence variants in CKM (creatine kinase, muscle) and COX4I2 (cytochrome c oxidase, subunit 4, isoform 2) genes with racing performance in Thoroughbred horses.'
- 'Moderate and high intensity sprint exercise induce differential responses in COX4I2 and PDK4 gene expression in Thoroughbred horse skeletal muscle.'
- 'The association of various speed indices to training responses in Thoroughbred flat racehorses measured with a global positioning and heart rate monitoring system.
Proceedings from ICEEP symposiums serve as definitive reference tools for equine exercise physiology researchers worldwide. Each paper in the proceedings undergoes careful screening and editorial review prior to publication to ensure scientific accuracy and relevance.
